Pulp have announced a UK arena tour. The tour will see the band play six shows in Glasgow, Dublin, London, Birmingham and Manchester, taking to the road in June 2025.
The band had reunited previously in 2023, playing some huge shows including a sell out date at London's Finsbury Park. Following the loss of bass player Steve Mackey. Those shows were in celebration of the bands 1998 album 'This is Hardcore' the shows pencilled in for this summer, are to celebrate 30 years of 'Different Class'
Speaking about the shows in a press release, Cocker said: “You deserve more – & we have more.” He continued: “In fact, we have More – (but that’s a whole other story… you’ll have to wait a little more time to hear that one). In the meantime: see you this Summer!”
Are we getting new music from Pulp? It certainly sounds like it!
These shows follow on from an announcement of earlier dates. Which include a huge homecoming gig at Tramlines 2025 in Sheffield, and a headline set at Bilbao BKK in Spain.
Pulp is set to headline a specially curated day at Tramlines Festival, where they have handpicked an exciting line up of artists to join them. The event will feature a performance from the legendary Spiritualized, alongside an electrifying DJ set from Hot Chip, promising a memorable experience for fans.
In addition to their confirmed festival appearances in Sheffield and Bilbao, speculation is mounting that Pulp will make a highly anticipated return to Glastonbury this year. While no official announcement has been made, the band’s rumoured presence at Worthy Farm has sparked excitement among fans. Pulp's set in 1995 is one of the festivals most famous headline sets ever, getting Jarvis and the band back to Worthy Farm, thirty years later will be a real coup for the festival.
Over the last two years Britpop has made a huge revival in the UK. Blur played two sellout shows at Wembley in 2023, and headed out on the road across Europe. Oasis then announced the Live 25 tour in August 2024. With shows pencilled in for the UK & Ireland, North America, South America and Asia.
It's now a really exciting time to be a Pulp fan.
