After nearly three years of radio silence, and confirming their live return with announcements for Glastonbury 2025 and BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.
Wolf Alice have got fans even more excited with potential new music coming soon. This all started on April 15th, where the band replied to a fans post on X
Fans began to speculate that new music was potentially on the way. Fans began to repost the post, which quickly led to the bands bass player Theo Ellis to respond with an egg timer, as if to suggest the band are counting down to something.
More and more has come out in the days since the inital social media posts. When fans attempted to reach the bands website. They were met with a password prompt to login. The bands social media pictures began to change, with a new logo.
Some fans managed to bypass the password link, and were able to subscribe to a mailing list. After subscribing to the list, fans were greeted with the message which reads. "Every flower needs to neighbour with the dirt".
Lead vocalist and guitarist Ellie Rowsell echoed the news on her own Instagram, sharing a collection of colourful blooms with the caption: "Spring is springing and things are blooming".
Then fans who had subscribed to the email address, received an email titled 'Bloom' on April 17th. The email contained an image, which looks like song lyrics. Could this be the lyrics to a potential first single?
I certainly hope so. Wolf Alice have become one of my favourite bands over the last 5/6 years. The bands last record 'Blue Weekend' is one of the best albums of this decade, and the two previous efforts 'My Love is Cool' and 'Visions of a Life' were two of the best records of the 2010s.
My hopes are definitely high for this record. They are a band who have yet to disappoint with their releases.
I shall wait for the next announcement with baited breath.
