Well that would be Blossoms. The bands fifth studio album ‘Gary’ named after an 8ft statue of a Gorilla that was stolen from a Scottish garden centre last year. Has hit the top spot, on the Official Album Charts.
Making it four Number One albums for the boys from Stockport. This one is extra special though, their first away from a major label. ‘Gary’ was released on the bands own label.
A huge milestone for indie music and the band themselves. It’s an album deserved of the top spot. Blossoms doing what they do best. Writing infectious indie anthems. With big choruses, and huge hooks. Taking elements from each album before to make a pop classic. Delivering a great collection of songs. For the fifth time.
It’s another big moment in already big year for the band. Following their biggest headline show at Wythenshawe Park and just before a sell out UK tour. Blossoms are proving themselves to be one of the best UK bands.
