Today (January 22nd 2024) saw Truck Festival take to social media to announce this years line up.
With five acts taking up the headline slots, and a series of smaller artists playing the stages throughout the weekend.
It’s a real mixed bag of headliners with ‘Jamie T’ being pick of the bunch for me. ‘Wet Leg’ are given a first headline slot and ‘The Streets’ also take to the stage. ‘IDLES’ are a great coup for the festival. ‘The Kooks’ seem to be a festival staple on UK line ups and all these later I’m unsure why they are. Having seen them live they aren’t anything special.
I’m quite shocked at the ‘The Streets’ too, I don’t think they’re festival headliner material.
Further down the line up is where things get more interesting. With ‘Peace’ ‘Soft Play’ ‘Sundara Karma’ ‘Sea Girls’ ‘Holly Humberstone’ ‘The Royston Club’ and ‘86TV’s’ just to name a few.
There’s some great indie gems on the line up.
Overall it’s good in places. And not so good in others. What do you think of the line up this year? Where does it rank in terms of previous years.
Let me know
