Only a 15 Minute Drive

It’s been quite a week for music this week. The boys from Stockport, Blossoms decided to drop a huge announcement.

A huge summer gig next year. It’s been long overdue, I was at Blossoms last big summer gig. June 2019 at Edgeley Park. Which was four years ago.

An all star northern line up at the home of Stockport County made for a great gig. Next years date isn’t in Stockport. It’s in Wythenshawe  but it’s only round the corner, and Manchester has always been a second home for the boys anyway.

It’s going to be a star studded affair with some unbelievable support bands. From Inhaler to Shed Seven and indie upstarts The K’s 

Taking place on the August Bank Holiday weekend it gives fans a chance to have a real good time on a Sunday. Without having to worry about an early start on the Monday morning.

As well as announcing this huge gig. The band revealed that fans can expect a new album in the summer of 2024 to coincide with this gig. It’s a good time to be a Blossoms fan.

I’m typical Blossoms fashion they did not announce this gig in the usual way. They did it with a brilliant video. Which you can watch below 

Featuring all of the band, soundtracked by a rendition of ‘There’s a Reason Why’ where they tell us details of the gig, and when tickets go on sale. It’s Blossoms at their very best. A band who always look like they are having fun.

Will you be going to see them next year. I think it might have to be another time seeing them for us lot. It will be my ninth time providing we can get tickets on November 10th!
