In a statement yesterday, Foo Fighters say they plan to continue as a band despite the loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Hawkins passed away in March 2022, whilst the band were on tour in South America. At the age of 50. Later on in the year the band played two tribute concerts one at Wembley Stadium in London and the other at LA’s Kia Forum. Complete with a star studded line up of guests.
In the statement, the band commented on the most difficult year they have ever had, and they know they will be a different band going forward. The statement ends by the band saying
“We know that when we see you again – and we will soon – he’ll be there in spirit with all of us every night.”
Foo Fighters will be back soon, and we can only wait and see how it pans out.
