Don't Let It Be Over

Fans and critics a like believe that London band The Maccabees have teased a return on social media. Seven years after the band last took to the stage together.

The band have not announced anything or even released a statement. They have simply updated their social media channels with a new logo.

Which can be seen below.

This new logo, is the first update we have had from the band since their farewell shows in 2017. The band officially announced their split in August 2016.

Following the post of the log, the band did heighten fans intrigue by adding a link to Instagram stories where fans are able to sign up for updates. Felix White then simply re posted the story with an eyes emoji. Leading fans to suspect something big may be coming.

The breakup in 2016 was not done with any bad blood the band parted ways amicably. Saying this in their statement.

“We are very proud to be able to go out on our own terms, at our creative peak and off the back of the best and biggest shows we have ever done. There have not been fallings out and we are grateful to say that we are not leaving the group behind as a divided force. It has been a rare and absolutely incredible time that we all feel very lucky to have shared,”
“Though there are no concrete plans at this stage, we are all planning to continue making music. We are excited about the future and intend to move on, with some sadness, but with appreciation, affection and huge pride at the music we have made and all that we have achieved together.”

What could this upcoming annoucement be. A celebration of 10 years for "Marks to Prove It" the bands last album. A reunion, or even new Maccabees music.

I guess we will wait and see.
