City’s on Return Are Often Strange

After a successful lead support slot in 2022 supporting Sam Fender. Fontaines DC announced a return to Finsbury Park earlier this week. 

The band will play the London venue, next year on July 5th. 

The band announced the video by giving fans a preview of a new song, before panning out to a wider shot of the famous London venue. As gig announcement videos go this is a pretty good one. 

This announcement follows an announcement of a huge tour. 

Which will see the band hit the road this winter, playing gigs all over the country. Making the jump into arenas. Playing three shows in Manchester and a huge night at London’s Alexandra Palace. 

With the announcement of fourth album ‘Romance’ which is due for release in August. 

Fontaines are quickly cementing themselves as one of Britain’s best bands. Four albums in now, they are confident and self assured. To make the music that they want to make 

The first two singles from ‘Romance’, ‘Starburster’ and ‘Favourite’ have received heavy radio play and have been in many people’s playlist rotation for a while now. Both showing different sides to the band ‘Starburster’ provides fan with a look to where the band might be heading. Whereas ‘Favourite’ is more familiar and shows fans where the band have come from. It’s an exciting time at the minute to be a Fontaines DC fan.
