Too Many People- Paul & Linda McCartney
Too Many People was the b-side, to ‘Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey.’ The song is said to be about John Lennon. Written just 1 year after the break up of The Beatles, it is likely this is true.
Paul has himself said the line ‘Too many people preaching practices’ was about John & Yoko, who he felt were lecturing people on subject matters that they perhaps shouldn’t be.
The line ‘You took your lucky break, and broke it in two.’ Is also about John and was originally ‘Yoko took your lucky break, and broke it in two.’

Paul had been perceived to be the villain the break up of The Beatles, and wrote this song in response to what had been going on. In response John Lennon wrote ‘How Do You Sleep’ which featured jibes at McCartney and also featured guitar parts from George Harrison.
McCartney and Lennon met a few times and rekindled before Lennon’s death in 1980 but their relationship was never the same as it was before the breakup of The Beatles
